Do I have to pay tuition fees to study in Germany?
The public universities of Germany have the lowest tuition fees. They even offer scholarships for students that cover their entire tuition fees and living costs. Some private universities may cost around €10,000 or more.
To apply to German universities as a Sri Lankan student, you will need to provide the university with an admission letter and a blocked bank account showing sufficient funds for living expenses. Health insurance, CV, and SOP are also mandatory here.
To live in Germany, you will need around €1,200 a month. Most of this cost will be allocated to accommodation fees and health insurance.
Germany offers a post-graduation visa of 18 months. And once you find a job, you can apply for a Skilled Worker visa. Students can apply for permanent residence (PR) within 5 years of this date.
